OG Carbon Rims
Design
The OG is the most durable, impact-resistant rim in its class, and is far more durable than aluminium rims twice its weight. Even a cracked tubeless OG will continue to hold air and be rideable.
The OG is proudly manufactured for us in China by the world’s leading carbon rim producer. They produce rims for a spectrum of brands ranging from smallish companies like ours to some of the industry big-players. We license and borrow some of their tech where it would be stupid for us to try and re-invent that section of the rim and we design other aspects of the rim to give us the weight, durability, and ride characteristics that we want. This works really well: We can design how we want our wheels to feel and to ride, and we can leverage the decades of composites experience of our manufacturer.
Most carbon rims are sanded and filled to remove small mold marks but to show off the OGs incredible quality we’ve left the OGs structural carbon on display. This also reduces weight and keeps the rims surface finish less susceptible to cosmetic damage and scratches.
Rim Choices
OG – Race rims use a special light-weight carbon layup in the rims and have a low spoke count (24 hole) for a responsive wheelset perfect for gravel racing, cyclocross, and day adventures.
OG – Bikepacking rims use the strongest layup and have a higher spoke count (28 and 32 hole). A modified carbon layup puts more carbon in the U shape of the rim for increased durability and abrasion resistance for backcountry peace of mind.
700c vs. 650b
Different sizes, different uses.
The two rim sizes of the OG are designed differently because we know that bikes with 650b and 700c wheels and tyres are used and ridden differently.
650b
Riding your gravel bike like a mountain bike on low speed technical trails? Or simply trying to get more tyre clearance? The 650b may be for you. The 650b OG uses a hookless bead optimized for 27.5″ tyre options so that when the terrain gets gnarly the OG’s burp-free tubeless bead will give you amazing grip, comfort and traction. Note that the hookless bead of the 27.5″ OG requires the use of a tubeless-ready tyre and has a maximum tyre pressure of 40psi. There are no restrictions on what brand or model of tyre you can use on this rim.
700c
The 700c OG sports a 25mm internal bead-width, allowing the installation of tyres 28mm and up. However these rims really sing when matched with 40-45mm tyres (but will work equally well with 2.2″ mountain bike tyres). Have to ride long sections of pavement to get to the good stuff? The OG’s hooked bead allows you to inflate your tyres to their maximum stated pressure, for minimum rolling resistance on the road. When the terrain gets gnarly the OG’s burp-free tubeless bead gives you amazing grip and traction. There are no restrictions on what brand or model of tyre you can use on this rim.

Tubeless Ready
Tubeless allows lower tyre pressure, more grip and fewer punctures. It’s a no-brainer.
Tubeless rim-tape and a pair of light weight CNC aluminium tubeless valves are already fitted when you pull your new wheels out of the box. Our attention to detail extends to the tubeless valves: serrated lockrings makes them easy to fit or remove and integrated wrench-flats are provided for super-tight valves. The valve cores are removable for easy cleaning or adding sealant. The inner section of the valve is optimized to our rims, ensuring an easy air-tight fit.
